In-person demos are back!
Open House Days 2022
Surface finish & optical metrology
Join us at OTEC Precision Finish, Inc. to discover how their new mass finishing machines enable a perfect surface finish. AND: See how
Bruker Alicona's optical 3D metrology can be used to verify the manufactured components.
Together with OTEC Precision Finish we are happy to offer you on-hand demonstrations.
Experience the first optical coordinate measuring machine µCMM and see how our optical 3D measurement systems
InfiniteFocus G5plus and InfiniteFocusSL are used in practice.
Our experts will present relevant optical 3D measurement solutions and answer your questions in exclusive live-sessions.
Each day, personalized demo sessions will be available. Bring along your samples (parts, tools, etc.).

Smoothing, rounding, deburring – how metrology increases efficiency
OTEC Precision Finish has been using Bruker Alicona's Focus Variation for a decade. Managing Director Soran Jota reports first-hand how the reliability of his processing machines as well as the quality of drill components, milling cutters and gear parts could be optimized using this measurement technology. With the launch of a new mass finishing machine, OTEC is currently preparing the next step in its quality assurance strategy by measuring in the machine. In this video Soran Jota tells how this is intended to work in production (from minute 15:00).
Optical 3D measurement systems on site
µCMM
µCMM, the first purely optical CMM machine, is used to measure extremely tight tolerances in high accuracy. Users combine advantages from tactile coordinate measuring technology and optical surface measuring technology and measure the dimension, position, shape and roughness of components with only one sensor.

InfiniteFocus G5plus
With the Bruker Alicona G5plus users benefit from a micro-coordinate 3D measuring machine and a surface roughness measuring device, combined in a single system. The principle of Focus-Variation allows the measurement of shape and roughness on small, large and heavy components.

InfiniteFocusSL
InfiniteFocusSL is an optical 3D measurement system for easy, fast and traceable measurement of form and finish on micro structured surfaces. Users measure both form and roughness of components with only one system. Measurements are achieved in seconds and features, such as a coaxial laser for quick and easy focusing, further increase usability.

This demo equipment you can expect at OTEC:
SF Series
The OTEC stream finishing process offers much shorter processing times compared to conventional procedures. It also allows users to automate processes easily without jeopardising reliability. The shorter cycle times mean that the systems can be integrated smoothly into industrial production lines.

DF Series
Polishing, deburring, rounding or smoothing: Otec Precision Finish, Inc. build drag finishing systems to finish any surface quickly and affordably. From small series production to large-scale industrial manufacturing.

Stay safe
Your health is our priority number 1
Our event concept is designed to offer personalized demo sessions with comprehensive measures to protect the health of all participants. These measures include, among others, limited number of visitors, strict adherence to the safety distance of 6ft, masks without exception and regular disinfection after each slot. The health of both, our customers and our team members are our priority number 1.
